How do I set up the Dashboard?

This article explains how to enable and configure the dashboards for OnePlan.  This requires the app 'Dashboards' is installed.  The dashboards are not managed in the Admin pages, but rather in the Plans Dashboard and the Portfolio Dashboard pages.  

This article focuses on the PowerBI report embedded into OnePlan.  Though, you could add other dashboard tiles with charts directly into the dashboard.

Publish OnePlan Report to PowerBI

You must first publish the OnePlan reports to PowerBI.

Save the Embed URL for Portfolio Dashboard

Save the Embed URL for the published report.  You will be prompted for this URL in a later step.

Save the Embed URL for One Item Dashboard

For the Plan Dashboard, use the "One Item Dashboard" report, as it has a filter for PlanID.  Or, if using a different report, be sure there is a filter for PlanID added to that report.  The Plan Dashboard dynamically looks for the PlanID, so the dashboard page filters only for that Plan you are viewing.

Save the Embed URL for the published report.  You will be prompted for this URL in a later step.

Add the Dashboards App

Navigate to the Apps page to verify you have the Dashboards app installed.  If not, add it.

Open Portfolio Dashboard

The Portfolios Dashboard page is for reporting across all your plans.

  1. Navigate to the Portfolios page.
  2. Select Dashboard.
  3. Click the Edit Dashboard icon.

Add PowerBI Tile

  1. Click Add Tile.
  2. Select the PowerBI tile.

Add Report Details

  1. Enter a title for the report tile.  
  2. Add the Report Embed URL that was copied from PowerBI in the earlier step.
  3. Select the check box to auto-resize to full page, regardless of screen size or resolution percentage.  If this is the only tile you'll have on the page, it is recommended to have this checked.
  4. Click Add.

Save Dashboard

Save the Dashboard.  The report shows with any tabs on the bottom and the filters pane on the right.

If desired, you may add other tiles.  

You may delete, edit, or resize this tile by clicking the icons below the tile.  The icons appear when you hover over the dashboard tile.  If you don't see the edit icons on the bottom, you may need to adjust your resolution.

Open Plan Dashboard

The Plan Dashboard page is for reporting on a single plan - the plan which page you're viewing.

Navigate to a single plan.

  1. Select Dashboard.
  2. Click the Edit Dashboard icon.

Add PowerBI Tile

  1. Click Add Tile.
  2. Select the PowerBI tile.

Add Report Details

  1. Enter a title for the report tile.  
  2. Add the Report Embed URL that was copied from PowerBI in the earlier step.
  3. Select the check box to auto-resize to full page, regardless of screen size or resolution percentage.  If this is the only tile you'll have on the page, it is recommended to have this checked.
  4. Click Add.

Save Dashboard

Save the Dashboard.

The Save icon saves the dashboard only for the current plan.  The Save as Global Dashboard will apply this dashboard to all plans.

You may delete, edit, or resize this tile by clicking the icons below the tile.  The icons appear when you hover over the dashboard tile.
